It has been eight years since the Naruto Shippuden anime aired its last episode, but it maintains a place as one of the most popular series on the planet. More Naruto merchandise is on its way as Viz Media announced that a new cookbook filled with recipes based on the food we see Naruto and his team eat throughout the anime and manga. Food is a powerful motivator, whether you’re a ninja trying to save the world or just getting through a tough day at work.
The announcement came from Viz Media’s social media. Naruto Shippuden: The Official Cookbook is due out in Fall 2025. So far, the only recipe that has been confirmed to be in the book is ramen, which is fitting considering that Ichiraku Ramen is Naruto’s go-to treat after a tough day of being the loudest ninja in existence. A good ramen recipe would make this cookbook worth the price all on its own.
Viz has said that there will be 35 recipes in Naruto Shippuden: The Official Cookbook, so we can only speculate about what else it will include. We suspect rice balls, or onigiri, will be in there considering that they are one of the most popular foods in Japan and we see characters eating them throughout the show. We’d also be up for trying a take on Rock Lee’s beloved curry or even the slices of grilled meat that motivate Choji to train harder.
