Chicago One: When the next episode of Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. return to NBC and Peacock in 2025
With more than 650 episodes and counting, there is plenty of One Chicago drama to dive into.

Some cities are just filled with potential drama, and Chicago has always been one of them. The Windy City has been at the heart of the One Chicago franchise since Chicago Fire’s debut back in 2012. With the Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med spin-offs currently airing along with the original still running, there is a lot of Chicago returning to our screens in 2024.
All three One Chicago series have had their 2024 debut, with new episodes starting on September 25. That’s right, every Wednesday is Chicago Wednesday on NBC, with new episodes airing from 8 pm to 11 pm EST every week. Episodes are available to stream on Peacock the following day.
The next episode of each One Chicago series will be:
- Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 9: January 8, 2025 at 8 pm EST
- Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 9: January 8, 2025 at 9 pm EST
- Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 9: January 8, 2025 at 10 pm EST
While there are several crossovers between the series, one of the most enduring shared locations is Molly’s, a small bar owned by three firefighters. The bar is frequented by characters from every One Chicago show, including the canceled Chicago Justice spin-off. Episodes often end with characters sitting at Molly’s reflecting on the trials and tribulations they have just faced in the previous hour of television.
What does the future hold for the One Chicago series? With each of the current series reaching the ten-season mark, it seems unlikely that NBC would want to add yet another spin-off to the Chicago Wednesday line-up. Their previous attempt was in 2017 with Chicago Justice, which only lasted a single season before it was canceled, so the network is likely happy keeping their Wednesday focused on the three-hour-long block of programming for the time being.
