As we sit here in the liminal void between Disney+'s Percy Jackson & The Olympians season 1 and the announced season 2, there's one thing we can console ourselves with: the books. As we wait for the return of Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson, himself), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), you can always do a deep dive into the book series which spans 17 books beginning with The Lightning Thief - and who knows, you might bump into Scobell along the way.
When Popverse’s Ashley V. Robinson sat down with the Scobell, Jeffries, and Simhadri last year to talk about the Percy Jackson and the Olympians show, the titular star revealed how much of a fan of the books he is.
"Specifically the first five books," Percy Jackson actor Walker Scobell admits to Popverse, "Yeah. I've read the next five one time. So, I know everything about the first five books. Like, everything down to a 'T'. And, then, like, the next five I can't remember that much. I'm rereading them ... right now actually."

Percy Jackson and the Olympians also stars: Jason Mantzoukas (The Good Place), Adam Copeland (Edge), Lance Reddick (John Wick), Toby Stephens (Lost in Space), Megan Mullaly (Will and Grace), and more.
