In the vast land of the isekai anime, few shows cast a larger shadow than Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World. With season three on its way in just a few weeks, we’re all excited to see how Subaru and his friends navigate the magical world they live in with Subaru’s strange ability to turn back time each time he dies. Here is everything we know about Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World season three’s release window so far.

It has been confirmed that Crunchyroll will be streaming Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World season three when it releases in October 2, 2024. We don’t yet know how many episodes will be in this season – previous seasons ran over two cours and had 25 episodes each, so it wouldn’t be unheard of for the third season to do the same. However, there have been rumors that this season will be a staggering 40 episodes long – which would mean it is running through three full seasons.

That episode count seems unlikely, but we do know that the first episode of Re:Zero season three is a full feature length. As a testament to how popular the show has become, the third season will debut with a 90-minute episode titled Theatrical Malice. Unfortunately, this episode was part of the rash of leaked anime episodes in August 2024, seemingly taken after it debuted at Japan Expo 2024.
