There is life after 'Cold Harbor,' Apple CEO Tim Cook had confirmed

In case the events of ‘Cold Harbor’ didn’t underscore that Severance has plenty more story to tell — and more classic music to reframe in your head; who saw ‘Windmills of Your Mind’ coming? — Apple CEO Tim Cook took to social media Friday morning to confirm what has been long expected: Severance has been officially renewed for a third season. (We're not spoiling anything about the finale, but... who doesn't want to find out what happens next immediately?)
Responding to a layup from Severance executive producer and director Ben Stiller about fans asking for a third season, Cook shared a video of scenes from the show to date featuring the number 3 in some form — even if it’s just showing three members of the MDR team together — accompanied by the text, “Season 3 of Severance is available upon request.” He signed it, “Tim C,” utilizing his “innie” name he was given in a promo for the show’s second season.
The third season has been unofficially confirmed for some time; Stiller revealed that there was a writers room working on the season back in February. He’s also recently promised that the third season won’t take three years to debut, given the gap between the first and second seasons. So... could we see Severance season three in 2026? We can only hope until more information is revealed...
Severance seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream in full on Apple TV+.
