The Simpsons' annual Halloween special, Treehouse of Horror, is now back with a vengeance for season 36. This year, Treehouse of Horror XXXV will parody the Tom Hardy Venom movies. Promotional art for the episode recreates the poster for the 2018 Venom movie, with Homer sharing half his face with a grinning creature made out of - you guessed it - denim.

In the episode, Homer will form a symbiotic relationship with an alien in the form of a pair of jeans, just like Hardy's Eddie Brock in the first Venom movie. Whether his new alien pal will allow Homer to scale the sides of buildings in Springfield still remains to be seen, however. This year's Treehouse of Horror XXXV will debut on November 3, 2024 on Fox. It's the perfect watch for those who aren't willing to shake the Halloween spirit off just yet.

The long-running Simpsons show has a storied tradition with its Halloween and Christmas specials. Treehouse of Horror XXXV won't be the only Simpsons special this year, as there is a Christmas double episode planned for this holiday season. As it turns out, this year's Christmas special will mark the 35th anniversary of the show's original Christmas special. Oh how time flies. And if this year's Treehouse of Horror has anything to prove, it's that The Simpsons still has plenty of hilarious material to work with.

The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror XXXV will release on November 3, 2024 on Fox.
