We’re all still reeling from the finale of Squid Game season two, but it looks like that isn’t all that Netflix is planning. If there is one thing that remains true, it is that desperate people will still do whatever it takes to get the cash prize at the end of the games. Squid Game season three has already been announced – and it is coming in 2025.

The announcement came on January 1, 2025, meaning that we have less than a year before we find out what is next for the Squid Game participants. If you’re looking for more details, you’re sorely out of luck, though – the teaser announcement that was posted to social media only confirmed the 2025 release window for Squid Game season three. We won’t post too many spoilers for those of you who haven’t seen season two yet, but the ending certainly sets things up for another round of games and a fresh set of participants. Just like the first season, Squid Game season two offers plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing at what is coming next.

That means that 2025 is looking to be a big year for Netflix’s original content. Already, we’re waiting for the final season of Stranger Things and the second seasons of both One Piece and Wednesday. That is before we get to the finale of Cobra Kai that is due out this year. Add in a third season of Squid Game and the year is looking increasingly crowded for the streamer.

Squid Game season two is currently streaming on Netflix. Season three of Squid Game has been confirmed for 2025.
