Join Captain Kirk, Major Kira, and the crew of the USS Discovery on 2026's Star Trek 60th anniversary cruise
Details have been announced for Star Trek: The Cruise IX, celebrating six decades of the final frontier (with William Shatner, John de Lancie, and many more on board the ship!)

If ever there was a way to celebrate next year’s 60th anniversary of Star Trek that would seem like a dream come true for some fans, it would almost certainly be the chance to sail the seas with the crew of multiple Enterprises (and other Starfleet ships) for seven days. Those fans should start planning their 2026 vacations right now, because Star Trek: The Cruise IX has just announced its dates and guest list. (And we’re pretty impressed.)
Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas will set sail February 20-27, 2026 from Port Canaveral, Florida, with stops scheduled for Puerto Plata, San Juan, and CocoRay — that last one being a private island owned by Royal Caribbean, in case it didn’t sound familiar — with a full compliment of guests from across the history of the beloved franchise, including The Next Generation’s Jonathan Frakes and John de Lancie, Deep Space Nine’s Terry Farrell and Nana Visitor, Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, and Doug Jones, and perhaps most surprisingly, William Shatner and Walter Koenig from the original series.
The official announcement also notes “special appearances by legendary actors who portrayed unforgettable characters like the Gorn, the Salt Vampire, and Captain Pike,” but we’ll assume that last one is the original Pike, not Strange New World’s Anson Mount. Also appearing will be as-yet-unnamed “scientists, writers and production professionals” attached to the franchise.
“We’ve planned a week of incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experiences to honor the 60th anniversary of Star Trek,” Chris Hearing, Partner and Executive Director of Theme Cruises at Entertainment Cruise Productions, said in a statement accompanying the announcement of the cruise dates. “Celebrating this milestone with both William Shatner and Walter Koenig is a dream come true for fans. And we’re not stopping there: we’re creating events and activities that revel in the shows and films spanning the six decades that followed The Original Series. We are grateful to Paramount Consumer Products for giving us the opportunity to mark the anniversary year with the biggest fans in the universe.”
How much will it cost to take this thankfully-not-five-year voyage? Cabins start at a cool $2320 per person, so this isn’t a mission to sign up for lightly — but at the same time, how many people get to say they went on a cruise with James T. Kirk, Q, and that guy from Rent?!? More details about Star Trek: The Cruise IX can be found on its official website.
