Stranger Things: The Byers House filming location from the hit Netflix show is available to book on AirBnB (sorta)
Turn your vacation... Upside Down. You can now stay in the house that Netflix used to create the home of Will, Joyce, and Jonathan Byers on Stranger Things. Although, just like in Hawkins, IN, nothing is *exactly* what it seems...

To be perfectly honest, I don't know that I'd want to vacation in Hawkins, IN. (I'm perfectly OK with extradimensional monsters, it's just that I hate the Colts.) However, like so many other Stranger Things fans, I'd at least condier the opportunity to stay in one of the show's iconic filming locations, and now, that option is on the table. The Byers Home, as seen in Netflix's hit show, is now available to book via Airbnb.
Sorta. Let me explain.
The listing comes from an account just calling itself The Byers House, and with good enough reason. The home is a dead ringer for the home of Will, Joyce, and Jonathan from the show, replete with an exact replica of the family's kitchen, the brothers' bedrooms, and of course, a Christmas-light ouija board on the living room wall. The thing is, though, a replica is all The Byers House can claim to be... at least, in its interior.
You see, the real Byers House is a product of Hollywood magic; the home that Will went missing from in season actually existed in a movie studio. But don't think any less of this opportunity - the exterior shots of the Byers's abode is exactly what you'd be renting via the link above. As the listing states, "The property’s exterior was used to film all of the scenes set at the Byers’ home and influenced the design of the interior sets, which were built in a nearby studio."
But location isn't everything, despite how the saying goes. Along with staying at a real piece of scifi history, the listing also explains fans can experience:
- Watching Stranger Things episodes under the interactive Christmas light wall inspired by the Byers’ living room from the series.
- Playing board games or Dungeons and Dragons in the Upside Down-inspired bunk room.
- Listening to vinyl records or play Amiga 500 games in Jonathan’s room.
- Watching classic movies on VHS tapes on the old-school CRT TV and VCR in the living room.
- Riding BMX bikes around the property.
- Enjoying the period-accurate decor inspired by the show.
And all of this just Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Unspecified is whether the place features a portal to another dimension.
You can rent The Byers House right now, but you're going to have to wait if you want to watch the next season of the Byers' adventures there. Stranger Things season 5 is planned for a 2025 release, though no date is yet confirmed.

- The Stranger Things time jump between season 4 and 5 has been confirmed by Netflix - and it raises some serious questions
