Here’s the Survivor season 47 release date on CBS and Paramount+

Mark your calendars, because the long-running reality show is heading back to the islands of Fiji.

In Survivor season 47, eighteen brand new castaway contestants will find themselves abandoned on the islands of Fiji. In order to remain in the game, members of the tribes must succeed in challenges to earn necessary tools for survival. But if the castaways can’t adapt, they face being voted out.

In the Survivor season 47 premiere, 'One Glorious and Perfect Episode,' the tribes will face their first challenge of the season. Then, two of the castaways will be selected to undertake a journey to locate an X that marks the spot.

As has been the case since the series debuted in 2000, Survivor season 47 is hosted by the Emmy Award-winning Jeff Probst. And as always, the eighteen new contestants this year are competing for the title of “Sole Survivor,” which comes with a $1,000,000 prize. Also in keeping with tradition, the show's contestants hail from a variety of backgrounds. Castaways for Survivor season 47 include a flight attendant, an ER doctor, an E-Sports commentator and a construction worker. Plus, former speechwriter for President Barack Obama and co-founder of Crooked Media Jon Lovett will also be appearing.

Curious just when you expect to watch the season premiere? Survivor season 47 will debut on CBS on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 8:00 PM ET/PT and stream the next day on Paramount+. Plus, “One Glorious and Perfect Episode” will be an extra-long two-hour episode. Meanwhile, the subsequent episodes of the season will debut weekly in the same time slot, but will each be only 90 minutes long.
