The Last of Us season 2 cast: All the new and returning faces in HBO's post-apocalyptic hit show
Who knew mushrooms could be so terrifying?

If you think that the Video Game Curse is still a thing, you haven’t been paying attention to shows like The Last of Us, which defied all expectations and told the story of the game even better than the game itself. With another season already in the works, we’re already excited to see how the HBO show can top the first season, especially with some of the names that have joined The Last of Us season two cast.
It won’t be a surprise to anyone that The Last of Us season two cast will feature Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, but the second outing of the show will add plenty of fresh faces to the mix. It is expected to follow the story of The Last of Us Part II, which adds characters like Abby and Dina to Ellie’s life.
The current cast of The Last of Us season two is:
- Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller
- Bella Ramsey as Ellie
- Gabriel Luna as Tommy
- Kaitlyn Denver as Abby
- Young Mazino as Jesse
- Isabella Merced as Dina
- Danny Ramirez as Manny
- Ariela Barer as Mel
- Tati Gabrielle as Nora
- Spencer Lord as Owen
- Catherine O’Hara in an undisclosed role
Of course, some of the best bits of the first season were when actors from the video game showed up as cameos. Troy Baker, who portrayed Joel in the video games, appeared as a settler who gets his head crushed with a meat cleaver. Laura Bailey, the voice of Abby in The Last of Us Part II, had a brief cameo as a member of the medical staff in the final episode of season one. However, the most memorable cameo was when the original Ellie, Ashley Johnson, played Ellie’s mother in the final episode of season one.
Considering the fate of each of these characters in the original series, it is unlikely that the same actors will appear in The Last of Us season two, but we won’t know until the show finally comes out sometime in 2025.
