The sixth season of Netflix's family sitcom, The Upshaws, will be the show's penultimate. Since 2021, The Upshaws has centered on a working-class Black family in Indiana. The cast is comprised of Mike Epps, Wanda Sykes, Kim Fields, and more. Netflix announced earlier this year on Tudum that season 7 will be the final season of the show.

Season 6 of The Upshaws will release on Netflix on January 9, 2025. Netflix has unveiled a trailer for the upcoming season, which you can watch below. While we don't know the exact number of episodes for this season quite yet, it will likely follow the 12 episode form that shaped its previous seasons.

Currently, it is not known when season 7 of The Upshaws will release. What we do know is that the final season will be 12 episodes long, and that the creators of the show knew it would be the final season when the show was renewed by Netflix. Hopefully this will provide a well-rounded ending for the show, as opposed to the abrupt endings to other Netflix shows. Television in the age of streaming is cutthroat, but at least The Upshaws will get a proper sendoff.
