One of the perks of this job is to meet famous people, and in some cases get to know them not just as celebrities but as the real, living-and-breathing humans that they are. From how they approach a morning to who they hang out with behind closed doors, and even how they take their tea or coffee. Recently while at GalaxyCon Columbus 2024, I had the opportunity to run into actor Vico Ortiz.

I have met Vico Ortiz on numerous occasions, as they frequent some of the same cons that I do for work - New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, C2E2, MCM Comic Con, and Florida Supercon. But while they and I had known each other for years now, I never had the opportunity to interview them or have a real conversation with them, person-to-person.
