What to Watch on Apple TV+ for December of 2024: Programming for your animal-loving kids, and a rom-com for your conspiracy-loving uncle

Welcome to Popverse's What to Watch, where we break down all the best in upcoming entertainment courtesy of your choice of streaming platform(s). This month, we could all use a break from humanity, which is what Apple TV+ seemingly understood when they scheduled out their December programming. Join us as we ask...

What's coming to Apple TV+ in December 2024

Great news for parents with nature-loving kids: there's a stocking stuffed with anthropomorphic kids shows waiting for Apple TV+ subscribers. Wonder Pets: In the City and Eva the Owlet's Holiday Special are specifically for the little ones, but then the Hugh Bonneville-narrated Secret Lives of Animals is meant to educate (and entertain) family members of all ages.

Now, for the adults in your household, the Scarlett Johannsen/Channing Tatum rom-com Fly Me to the Moon is making its streaming debut at the top of the month, turning the wild conspiracy about a faked Moon Landing into something that's a little more Hallmark than it is History Channel. And to bring everyone some Christmas cheer, Apple is making A Charlie Brown Christmas special free to stream (regardless of your subscription status) just as the holidays are ramping up. Check the release dates for all these titles below.

Title Streaming Date Type
Fly Me to the Moon December 6 Live-action movie
Wonder Pets: In the City December 13 Animated series
Eva the Owlet Holiday Special December 13 Animated special
A Charlie Brown Christmas (stream for free!) December 14, 15 Animated special
The Secret Lives of Animals December 18 Docuseries
