Did you know that Bob's Burgers was originally supposed to be about a family of cannibals? It's true, but of course, it didn't end up going that route. However, 20th Century Studios eventually did wind up with a family sitcom about a bunch of monsters, that being What We Do in the Shadows, and at LA Comic Con 2024, one of the actors with a foot in both worlds discussed where the two radically shows could meet. Or rather, which of their characters could.

The quote comes from LACC's What We Do in the Shadows panel, hosted by Popverse's former deputy editor Tiffany Babb and attended by WWDITS stars Harvey Guillén and Kristen Schaal. During the audience Q&A session, a massive fan of both What We Do in the Shadows and Bob's Burgers asked which of the restaurant comedy's characters would get along best with the vampires. And the answer came quickly.

"I know instantly," said Kristen Schaal. "Linda. Linda would have so much fun with everyone. She has fun everywhere she goes. She's one of my favorite characters of all time. I think Linda would have the best time."

Wow, that was fast. To be fair, Schaal is a certified expert on both series, having played the vampire Guide since What We Do in the Shadows season 1 and appeared regularly since season 3, and having played Louise Belcher on Bob's Burgers since... well, since it started.

And with all that experience, Schaal didn't stop at just which character would fit best with Long Island's favorite fiends; she went through the whole main cast.

"And Louise, obviously, because she would be ready to go hunting with them, stay up all night. Tina would be in love with them. She would have like, major crushes on all of them. And then Gene would be pretty oblivious? He might hang out with them." 

But wait, isn't there one person Schaal was forgetting? Don't worry, she got to him too.

"Bob probably would not want to deal," in her opinion.

Bob's Burgers season 15 is streaming on Hulu now, and What We Do in the Shadows' (final) season 6 will stream October 22.
