Read on to learn everything you need to know about when you can expect to see Will Trent season 3 airing on ABC.

The police procedural Will Trent first debuted in 2023, and since then, its second season finale has come and gone. So when can you expect to see Will Trent season 3 on ABC? Read on to discover everything we know about the Will Trent season 3 premiere.

Will Trent season 3

Will Trent is based on the novels by Karin Slaughter. Meanwhile, the ABC series was created by Slaughter, Liz Heldens and Daniel T. Thomsen. The series follows the titular Trent (Ramón Rodríguez), a dyslexic man who was found abandoned as a child and raised in the Atlanta Foster System and subsequently became an accomplished Special Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Here are the cast members who are expected to return for season 3:

  • Ramón Rodríguez as Will Trent
  • Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski
  • Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell
  • Jake Richardson as Michael Ormewood
  • Sonja Sohn as Amada Wagner
  • Bluebell the chihuahua as Betty

The second season of Will Trent, which aired in spring 2024, had only 10 episodes. However, fans can look forward to the longest season of the series yet with season 3, which will contain 18 episodes.

However, in spite of previous reports that the series would return in fall 2024, audiences will have to wait a bit longer than that to see the upcoming season. Will Trent season 3 is currently expected to arrive midseason, between late 2024 and early 2025.

The silver lining? According to Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich, this will give Will Trent fellow returning procedural The Rookie the chance to run uninterrupted for the entirety of their seasons. Will you be tuning in when Will Trent returns?
