"Eat your heart out": Showtime's Yellowjackets season 3 release date arrives February 2025

The third season of Showtime's hit cannibal horror series, Yellowjackets, takes aim at a release date of Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025

Well, this is certainly one way to spend your Valentine's Day.

As officially revealed by Showtime, the hit mystery/horror/cannibal/teen drama series Yellowjackets is heading back to your screens February 14, 2025. The announcement came with an appropriately terrifying teaser trailer for what's to come, which you can go ahead and check out right here.

It's been a full 18 months since we last caught up with our favorite soccer-playing survivors and their paranormal past, with the finale of season 2 airing late May of 2023. We won't go into spoilers as to where we last left the 90's teens and their present-day counterparts, except to say that there was, er, a major change in casting, as well as an answer to a question that fans have been asking since episode 1.

All that combines into a wait time that's as long as it is painful, but Showtime seems to know our suffering and wants to help - in that regard, they're going to go ahead and debut not one, but two episodes of the third season next Valentine's Day. Both will be available to stream on Paramount+.

In the meantime, you've got plenty of time to catch up on all the theories surrounding the show's tantalizing mysteries, or hook yourself up with a date for the season 3 premiere. Although we must caution you: if a mutual interest in cannibalism is what brings you two together, be very discerning when it comes time for your partner to pick take-out.

Yellowjackets seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Paramount+.
