What would a Hazbin Hotel movie be like? The cast has an offbeat idea involving the Egg Boiz

The Hazbin Hotel cast pitch idea for a Hazbin movie

Hazbin Hotel is a fun show, but could it work as a movie? The animated series is part musical, part drama, part comedy, and tons of fun. The series follows Charlie Morningstar, the Princess of Hell, as she tries to redeem the citizens of the underworld.

But what would a Hazbin Hotel movie actually be like? The cast gave their thoughts during a Hazbin Hotel spotlight panel at GalaxyCon Richmond 2024.

“The Egg Boiz,” Blake Roman said. “I could see a Pixar style movie being made all about the Egg Boiz.”

For those who aren’t familiar, or if you need a refresher, the Egg Boiz are a group of sentient eggs that serve Sir Pentious. They’re goofy, gullible, and steal every scene they’re in.

Think of them like the Minions from Despicable Me…except they’re in Hell.

The rest of the cast enthusiastically responded to Roman’s Egg Boiz pitch, adding a few ideas of their own. “Egg Boiz take Manhattan,” Erika Henningsen said. “It’s like the Minions from Despicable Me, but it’s about Sir Pentious and his Egg Boiz,” Joel Perez said.

“There needs to be like a roach tap number,” Kimiko Glenn said. “Yeah, same answer,” Amir Talai added, after considering the options.

I think Roman is on to something. An Egg Boiz movie could be like Minions for adults.

As of this writing, there are no plans for a Hazbin Hotel movie, but maybe the GalaxyCon brainstorm will inspire Amazon Prime Video to commission one. We need to see those Egg Boiz on the big screen!
