If you are looking to get your hands on the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, look no further. Microsoft has announced the release date and times for the new console as well as where they will be available for purchase.
On Tuesday, September 22 at 11 AM EST/8 AM PST in the United States the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be available to pre-order from retailers. Check out the complete list of countries and stores below. Remember, there will be a lot of people trying to pre-order these consoles at the same time, a little patience and determination will go a long way!
What is the Difference Between the Xbox Series X & the Xbox Series S?
The Xbox Series X is perfect for gamers with 4k-capable TVs, while the Series S delivers up to 1440p resolution, and has a little less RAM to boot. All the graphical goodies, such as ray tracing and 120 FPS are present on both systems. Check out the full specs from our friends at Eurogamer.
How Much Does the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S Cost?
The Xbox Series X at is priced at $499. The Xbox Series S costs $299. This compares to Sony’s Playstation 5 which costs $499.99, with the digital edition going for $399.99. If you are having trouble deciding which console to purchase, check out this handy guide.
Microsoft is also offering pre-orders through the Xbox All Access program. Xbox All Access includes the new Xbox of your choice as well as 2 years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This means you could own a brand new console for as little as $24.99 a month with no cost upfront.
When Will the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S Be Released?
The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will launch on November 10, 2020. It will be available in 37 countries at first and expand globally to 41 more through December. Just in time for the holidays.

United States (11 AM EST/8 AM PST)
In the US, the Xbox Series X & S pre-orders will be available from Microsoft Store, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Newegg, and other participating retailers.
Canada (8AM PT)
In Canada, pre-orders will be available from Microsoft Store, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, EB Games, The Source, and other participating retailers.
UK (8AM BST)
In the UK, Xbox Series X & S can be pre-ordered from Microsoft Store, GAME, Amazon, Dixons, Currys PC World, Argos, John Lewis, Smyths Toys, VERY, AO, Tesco, Simply Game, Shopto, and other participating retailers.
Australia (8AM AEST)
In Australia, pre-orders are from Microsoft Store, JB Hifi, EB Games, Telstra, Harvey Norman, and other participating retailers.
New Zealand (8AM NZST)
In New Zealand you can pre-order Microsoft Store, JB HiFi, EB Games, Spark, and other participating retailers.
Other Countries
If you live in Africa, Europe, or the Middle East you can pre-order online starting at 9 AM CEST. Available retailers include Microsoft Store, Amazon, MediaMarkt, GameStop, FNAC, Elkjøp/Elgiganten, and other participating retailers. Microsoft recommends checking with your local retailers, as availability may differ by country.
