Shaun of the Dead's Nick Frost says that a new collaboration with Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg will happen when the timing works out (and the idea is good enough)
Frost isn't willing to retread old glories just because it would make money, and neither are his collaborators from Hot Fuzz and The World's End

From 2004 through 2013, fans could rely on the cinematic combination of director Edgar Wright, and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to offer up classics like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End — but, following what’s become known as the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (it’s a play on this), the three haven’t worked together since. That doesn’t mean they’re not going to, though.
Asked by Variety if Frost has discussed future collaborations with Wright and Pegg, he replied, “Yeah, of course — it always comes up. But it’s not like we’re doing stuff separately that is so boring and annoying that we long to be together again. We’re doing things separately that we really love.”
It helps that, as Frost argues, there’s no real rush to make a new Cornetto movie to follow in the footsteps of their previous work — because what makes those films special is that they’re about particular men at particular points in their lives.
“I think what we’ve got to do, in terms of showing male characters who are friends that evolve as they get older, will only improve as we get older. So if in the next film we do I’m 60, then those characters will be interesting to watch too, because, well, How do 60-year-old men relate to one another? Where’s the comedy here?’ I think people will like it more,” he suggested. “So let’s make a film when we’ve got a great idea and we’ve got time and we love each other and we want to do it, rather than just do it because people expect us to. Let’s give them something that they’ll remember.”
In the meantime, it’s not as if the three aren’t up to interesting work individually; Pegg has next year’s Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning on tap, Wright is prepping a remake of The Running Man starring none other than Glen Powell, and Frost is currently promoting his own horror comedy, Get Away, which is in theaters now. Maybe we can think of it as a larger Cornetto Cinematic Universe, if that helps.
