Not into Netflix and chill? Try Peacock's Crime & Unwind (if you're in NYC)

There are plenty of studies out there about folks who relax to true crime shows, studies that, one presumes, get sent directly to an FBI database. The feeling is common enough, in fact, that streaming platform Peacock has decided to work the genre's apparent relaxing qualities into an actual spa experience. That's the idea behind Crime & Unwind, an exclusive hybrid of pop-up spa treatment and true crime show taking place this winter in New York City.

Crime & Unwind is slated to pop up in the SoHo location of Remedy Place, billed as "the world's first social wellness club." As part of the experience, Remedy Place is offering a number of crime-themed spa treatments, listed below:

  • The Airtight Alibi - Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber
  • Hot Pursuit - Infrared Sauna
  • Knot Guilty AI Massage - AI Bodywork Scan and Massage
  • Caught Red Handed Manicure - Signature Manicure
  • Detective Drainage - Lymphatic Drainage Massage Suit
  • Cold Case Plunge - Breathwork and Ice Bath Class
  • Premeditated Relaxation - Red Light Bed

There's no word yet on whether there will be an acupuncture treatment which, come on, feels like it would fit right in.

Along with the above treatments, Crime & Unwind attendees will be able to pick form 200+ true crime shows to check out as they relax, and will be provided full access to the Remedy Place lounges on the premises. True crime fans can RSVP for the event starting December 6 at 9 AM EST by going to the Crime & Unwind registration page

For more true crime relaxing in your own home (which, again, is probably being watched), head to Peacock.
